Jon has been performing for over twenty years and has played all over the UK and in Europe. He has appeared on national television and radio and can often be heard playing on other peoples tracks.

BBC Radio Suffolk recently featured Jon on Suffolk Sessions playing two instrumental and two vocal tracks. Radio Norwich interviewed Jon and played Movin' On, Movin' Up, Movin' Out on their Unsigned feature.

Jon plays background music at weddings, parties or restaurants, where you can hear jazz standards, folk tunes, country pieces and original compositions from the CD "In my own time". Jon can also be seen playing at solo acoustic guitar showcase gigs, where you can hear a mix of the above but also hear Jon singing his own compositions.

Jon's band The X-Men play functions all over the country and offer the perfect small band three part harmony sound for any wedding or party. A guitar/bass/drum trio is also available for dinner parties playing many jazz standards and modern classics.
Jon Buck Project is primarily a three piece band comprising Jon Buck on guitar and vocals, Jim Clarke on bass and Craig Bacon on drums. These three professional musicians come together with a drive and energy, fusing all styles of music to create a bluesy funk feel rarely heard before. Their onstage groove and feel is unparalelled, and their ability to break out and jam is breathtaking.
"Voltaire Road" is their debut album, which features Dave Foster on piano and Hammond and Lorna Blackwood on backing vocals. There are 11 tracks covering many styles but all are played with soul and passion. It was produced by Cam Blackwood at Voltaire Road studios in London, during a break in his busy schedule working with Alabama 3 and Florence and the Machine.
