Jon played at the Ullapool Guitar Festival in October 2008. His solo acoustic set went down well and Jon did plenty of after-hours jamming with some of the world's greatest acoustic fingerstyle guitarists. Click here to see photos of Jon's weekend in Ullapool.

Jon has also been working with bassist John Linney and drummer Finn Booth on some jazz/funk based collaborations. The trio has been in the studio recently to record a number of tracks with a really exciting new sound. Jon played his Gibson ES-175 jazz guitar on these tracks. You can hear four of the new tunes at the trio's myspace page

The Jon Buck Project launched its first groundbreaking album at the Fisher Theatre in Bungay, Suffolk on February 1, 2009. A large audience enjoyed the show, which featured Craig Bacon on drums, Jim Clarke on bass, Dave Foster on keyboards and Jon on guitar and vocals. Lorna Blackwood added backing vocals as well as taking the lead on some numbers. This album is available here. Click here to check out the new JBP Myspace site.
The band is finally getting out to do some gigs! After bassist Jimmi Clarke's world tour last year with Il Divo, Jon, Jim and Craig are now free to get out and play together. Check out the gig dates page on this site and visit the band's own site www.jonbuckproject.com for more info.

The other big news is that Jon has recently become a Licentiate of the London College of Music, after passing, with flying colours, an advanced diploma examination with an average national pass-rate of only 15%. He recently received an email from the Registry of Guitar Tutors which read "Congratulations on passing your diploma - I have added LLCM(TD) after your name."
